The beautiful property is situated at the foothills of the Bucegi Mountains, in the beautiful town Bușteni. The family, consisting of three children, found that their house in Bucharest was unable to sufficiently invigorate their energy or provide the parents with a chance to recharge. As a result, they decided to purchase this cottage with the intention of using it as a vacation rental. The primary aim of the project was to devise a conceptual design to revitalize and upgrade the interior space of the building.
The design needed to meet the needs of the family during their vacation stays, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The existing layout was outdated and did not maximize the potential of the space.
The first step in the design process was to assess the current state of the cottage and identify areas that required improvement.
The layout was reconfigured to create a more open and functional space. The color palette was chosen to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, with earthy tones and natural materials. Wood accents were used throughout the space to bring a sense of warmth and coziness. The kitchen area was completely transformed to accommodate the needs of a vacation rental. It was designed to be practical and functional, with modern appliances and ample storage space. The bedrooms were also redesigned to provide a comfortable and peaceful retreat for the family. The use of calming colors and soft textures helped create a relaxing atmosphere.
Overall, the conceptual design for the modernization and renovation of the interior space of the cottage aimed to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for the family’s vacation stays. The new layout, color palette, and use of natural materials helped to achieve this goal, providing a space that allows the family to recharge and enjoy their time in the beautiful surroundings of the Bucegi mountains.
